How do you find the best price to Hawaii?  Being FLEXIBLE.   Prices tend to be cheaper if you avoid flying on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday.  However, if you are traveling on a popular week it could be cheaper to fly on a Saturday due to availability.  Once so many seats are sold on a flight they raise the prices (this is why we love the airlines to much).  So tell your Travel Agent your travel window and let them find you the absolute lowest fare.

Judge rules that OTAs owe Hawaii $150 million in taxes

A Hawaii tax appeals court judge has ruled that online travel agencies (OTAs) such as Expedia, Travelocity, Orbitz and Priceline owe the state about $150 million in what the judge says are unpaid back taxes and interest relating to revenue from online hotel bookings.
